This is not a very high quality sewing kit but is good for basic needs. I mainly use it to fix stuffed animals for my kids and to make small changes to my clothes to make them more comfortable for me (like removing tags). Both cases are common and there were times when I didn't have the right color of thread to match the stuffed animals. I appreciate the variety of yarn colors included in this set and it gives me a better chance of finding a match. Other parts, notably the seam ripper, came in handy too. My only problem with it so far is the needles. They are not smooth and tend to catch on the fabric when sewn. I will most likely replace them but other than that it was very comfortable. Besides, it's all organized and doesn't take up much space. I used to keep my supplies in a basket, but this zippered bag is much more practical. I really appreciated it and have already put it to good use.
