Here's your review of Brooklyn. I've owned it for about 3 months and it worked as expected. I regularly have multiple iPads, phones, and other electronics connected to this thing while it's in my classroom. The kids knocked it over [although it's a solid weight, my kids/students find a way to tug it. I hid the cord and it's been sitting still since I stepped on it and made it unsightly, but it still works and the devices haven't blown. The cable is designed for high loads. Whether you need something to put on a table or countertop to stop fumbling with an outlet, or need to charge multiple Chromebooks at once, this thing works. I know it's expensive but in this case you get what you paid for.
