You get a little more than what you paid for

If you understand that this is not a heavy duty survival belt, but a truly lightweight fishing belt, then this is what most anglers need. will search. It's strong enough for typical fishing jobs; I've worn it swimming a few rivers and it hasn't soiled or scuffed my pants. The buckle is plastic but seems strong enough if not smashed with a rock or something. It has very positive blocking; I've had several belts of this type that got wet and somehow came loose at the worst possible moment. Also, some belt buckles would spontaneously detach from the protruding end of the belt and this would hold as if permanently attached. I could even hang a polymer-framed subcompact pistol and my knife on it with no problem. The band didn't stretch at all with the extra weight (about 18 ounces). But what pleasantly surprised me was the quality of the patterns on both bands (brown trout/rainbow) which was much better than I expected. . I've received several compliments about her around the campfire. I would recommend these belts.
