I was tired of struggling with my computer desk every time I had to pull it out. I was worried it might increase too much. But not like this. On carpet it is less than 2 inches higher. I also messaged the seller to make sure it was a U bracket reel and they responded straight away. My suggestion for installation is to match the hole with both holes in the bracket. You can make the hole a little bigger than the screw to make sure it fits well. The bracket tightens very well.
