I took Sony HDR-AS50R to the ski resort. Was very pleased. The only thing I would advise is to buy a second battery, one is clearly not enough for the day of filming. Its pros: 1. Not afraid of heavy snow without boxing (but you need a protective lens). 2. Not afraid of shaking when placing the camera on a snowboard. 3. Convenient and simple menu. 4. The camera and remote control are recharged by a smartphone charger. 5. It is very convenient to control the camera from the remote control. Has cons: 1. The price of a set with a remote control is too high. 2. There is no remote control strap over the jacket. From the old model of the remote control, the strap fits, but if this is not possible, then you need to do it yourself .
