Owl Lenses Look fantastic. CAP are plastic threads with metal caps. Good for sealing! If they could only make these lids out of ONE METAL WITH A RUBBER RING they would be great, but they fooled me. Plastic lids are the only contact point for contact with glass. It doesn't make sense because when you tighten them you can hear, feel, see the metal caps just being pushed into the plastic and slipping and preventing it from closing tight like a child's toy. I would rate these 5 stars if they were sealed, but they aren't, and what other reason would you buy a jar if it wasn't sealed? It's a nice decoration, but don't make the mistake of buying one like I did, assuming you can make any real preserve. They wouldn't even stop moisture from escaping the room, as I proved with the humidity sensors in the jars. The percent humidity in the sealed jars was equal to the room humidity, %, and all the sensors in the jars always varied to match the same room. If these jars were closed, there would be no fluctuations in humidity. That's why you get honest feedback from a real buyer. I'm going to sell/give mine away because I've waited too long for a refund!
