Both black and color cartridges printed immediately with good quality.
My printer accepted both color and black cartridges without any problems. The price is fantastic compared to HP prices. The only thing I don't like is that the printer doesn't show the ink level in the cartridges. I will most likely order from Valuetoner again. Update May 25, 2019: A refurbished Valuetoner Tricolor XL cartridge printed 2 photos and then my printer kept showing an incompatible cartridge message. I have reinstalled the ink cartridge several times with no success. This is an XL cartridge that I cannot use. I wasted my money and a full ink cartridge.
