Mass air flow sensor defective
Addendum: After 500 miles of driving, the engine light did not come on. I'm sure the sensor I received was defective. I must have received a faulty sensor because after replacing it and driving four miles the service engine light soon came on. I reinstalled the old one, cleared the code and drove six miles and the light wouldn't come on.
