I FIXED my light problem! I'm not an electrical engineer, but I know how batteries work. My hat arrived with no working lights. When I looked at the case that houses the batteries and switch, I found two latches that closed it. When I opened the case, I found two batteries with the positive side up. I checked the wires and swapped out the batteries for new ones, but none of that worked. Then I looked REALLY closely inside the case and found a tiny '+' symbol engraved on one side that wasn't on the other. I placed the batteries across from each other (in series or parallel) and flipped the switch. small blinding lights began to flicker. In short, this is a really good hat, but deducting a star for lack of instructions or poor assembly (perhaps this was done on purpose to save batteries?). It's a little cozy for me. I wear a small/medium flex fit hat, but I also shave my head and I like how it fits snugly without riding up.
