NOT GOOD (was: does the job at a reasonable price)

I used to write a review below. But that was for the previous generation of this charger. Today I received another one that I recently ordered. It seems that this is the result of a completely different production process. First, the light is brighter when connected. But that's not a problem, of course, but it can be a feature. Trouble is, when this thing charges, it makes an incredibly annoying high-pitched squeak. This makes it useless for all but the tightest of situations, e.g. B. if you use earplugs. I sat and worked on the go with the charger connected. He's loaded. Enough said. At this price I think this charger is cheap insurance as chargers fail all the time and they are great for travel. I can leave one in my travel bag for peace of mind or just so I don't have to pack my main charger. I've been toying with other ways to charge the Go via the USB-C port for a while and am considering using a phone charger for it, so I only have to take one charger with me when I travel. This also works, but then the USB-C port is blocked, and so you'll have to use more powerful (more expensive and physically larger) chargers that also power hubs with USB-C charging ports (which also draw power) if you Connect everything to Go, and Go also charges while you work on it. It turned out not to be worth it - and not cheap. This way you still have a free USB-C port and can connect an unpowered USB hub to it if you want to connect an external keyboard, mouse and possibly a USB stick, for example. This charger is value for money and a much more elegant travel solution.
