We just got this for the office so I may have to update my review later. For him, however, it was perfect. I used to have to approach everyone who walked through our office to check their temperature. We had a shield stand that I could use, but I still had to reach over to get close enough to take the temperature. Now we've set it up on a tripod near our entrance next to my desk, but far enough away for me to feel safe. We've checked the temperature readings with the manual controller we're using and it's the same range. The instructions don't say so, but any lack of touch will be at least 1 degree Fahrenheit lower than actual human temperature. So keep that in mind when you read 99 because you really are 100. It has C and F settings. The only languages it has are Chinese and English. It has a rechargeable battery that can be charged with the included USB cable. You can also download software to export readings. You won't know WHO took the temperature, but you will be able to see that everything is GREEN. It also reports readings out loud, so you can be sure to kick someone out if they say they're too big.
