I bought this tablet because I prefer the form factors of Android devices and want a smaller tablet than the one I'm currently using. I mainly use it for entertainment purposes, especially gaming. The games I play are by no means extensive - Lords Mobile, Blaze of Battle, Rise of Kings - and this tablet handles them, albeit with a few hiccups here and there. I also realize my performance expectations are a bit biased having used the 6th generation iPad for entertainment purposes, but as I mentioned earlier I prefer the Android device's form factor. What makes this tablet worthy? The screen is wonderful, the build is great and its weight makes it easy to hold. It also has decent sound, a microSD slot for storage expansion, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. I like that it offers face recognition to unlock the tablet. The tablet currently runs Android 10, although I'm not sure if it was updated during setup or if it came preinstalled. In any case, it has a relatively new version, which is nice. It's also worth noting that Lenovo keeps malware to a minimum, so the operating system is close to stock Android and any malware present can be disabled in the settings. What are the problems with this tablet? It's tablet performance, but a pretty glaring shortcoming in my opinion. When playing the aforementioned games, there are times in each game when the tablet freezes cleanly. I see that as a disadvantage because of the tablet's characteristics: 3 GB of memory and an 8-core processor. I understand that this table is an entry point tablet, but it shouldn't hang like that in my opinion. When launching Lords Mobile, the game takes between 30 and 60 seconds to load. Gameplay is generally smooth and there are no major issues once the game is launched. In Rise of Kings there is almost no freezing at the beginning of the game, however the tablet freezes briefly when a target is selected and troops are sent. Blaze of Battle has some issues when switching between accounts. The only reason I mention this is that the lag/freeze occurs at the exact time depending on the app, but randomly across different apps. I think given the amount of memory and CPU specs, this shouldn't be as much of an issue as it is. Overall, I think this is a good entry-level tablet, especially when used for basic things like checking email, reading e-books, and other activities like social networking. I'm sure an update from Lenovo could fix some of the issues I mentioned, but from what I've read Lenovo is notorious for not updating regularly. ****UPDATE**** I have decided to return this tablet. I've been taking my time to see if some issues are becoming less common, but that's just not the case. Still a good tablet but for the price it could be better in terms of performance in my opinion.
