I bought this light for my friend's new house and he installed it and is enjoying it as I write this! The light looks very modern and exotic (definitely a topic of conversation). You can position it however you like and swap out the bulbs however you like (changing the way the bulb looks). In general, assembling the lamp takes less than 10 minutes. The only thing that worries my friend is that the switch is halfway up the cord and not at the base of the lamp. Therefore, this lamp is best placed on an accent table or somewhere else where you won't sit down to turn it on. This is not a very good bedside lamp; but maybe a good hallway or foyer light (where it is now). It emits a lot of light so it will brighten up a large room!
