Review on 🐾 Petsfit Comfortable Dog Cat Backpack Carrier: Ultimate Travel Companion for Pets up to 22 Pounds by Christine Rowe

Looks solid but zipper and safety line are unreliable

NEW UPDATE: My old update is at the bottom. So, we've had this backpack for almost 2 years now and despite its flaws it's the best hiking/pet bag we've used to date. We have tried so many backpacks since purchasing to find the perfect solution for traveling and hiking with our Bengal and realized that there really is no such thing as a perfect backpack, but this is the closest we've found. So I'm giving 4 stars again in my review because the bruises on the lower back are still annoying due to the hard floor and lack of pockets, but the customer service was great and overall the backpack was very durable and withstood all the abuse. we went through it. Our Bengal LOVES him and is always asking to nap and play with him. The zipper on the top cover was terrible but hasn't reappeared since then and it closes again with no problems and the other zippers showed no signs of wear. This is our favorite backpack and will remain so for us. We really liked this backpack. We are taking our Bengal kitten on a hike and after struggling with regular backpacks this seemed like a great option for us. The bag itself makes a very robust impression. He is a 12 lb cat (and still growing) and had plenty of room to lie down and nap during the hike and loved that he could stick his head out to look around. The bag never felt like it would sag or warp under his weight. It was also fairly breathable. It never overheated and didn't cause any discomfort. Cons: The bottom is made of durable hard material. Not necessarily a problem as I like that it holds its weight. The only problem is that it sits on the lower back and definitely hurts after a long hike. I got a pretty big bruise today. I will be making a sew-on foam cap in this area to make it more comfortable on long hikes. Also, I would make this a 5 star rating if it had pockets for the leash, some food etc. Because of his size, we have to get creative with how to take his essentials with us when hiking as I don't necessarily want to lug two backpacks. Overall I was happy with the purchase and we only need to make a few small changes to the bag so we can continue to take our adventure cat with us. .UPDATE!: We've had this backpack for a few months now and it's had some issues. Sewing on the padding for the waist and making the pockets was a bit of a hassle but on our second hike with our Bengal he jumped up for a better view, untied the safety line inside and jumped out which is obviously awful if you are in the woods with an excited cat. He didn't even jump with that much force. I have to say the company's customer service was fantastic and sent us a new safety leash straight away which we sewed back on. Next time we used it we climbed stairs so we closed the top and it could break the top. Unzip the zip just by clicking on it to reveal it. Now we can't keep the top zipper closed. We really liked this bag but we are very disappointed and now I am very afraid to use it on a long hike if the bottom zip breaks from its weight. He LOVES his backpack and will literally cry if he naps in it, but we just bought a new backpack from YourCatBackpack and will have to see how it holds up. The backpack feels sturdy, but I don't feel safe anymore.
