Recommended by Oculus in a blog post to extend the range of the Rift headset. I had tried a few other decent quality HDMI extensions before purchasing and none of them worked. I also bought the 6ft version and used it to extend another run of my HTPC at 2160p/60Hz. That also worked great. While cable thickness and weight are great when it comes to durability and signal quality, this can be a negative factor for your application, when you need a tight bend radius or a low profile cable (e.g. under a carpet). constantly. It can also put a lot of strain on the HDMI port it's plugged into. I'm certainly not deducting stars for this, but I'm just mentioning it as something to consider when making a purchasing decision.
