Review on Regalo Portable Toddler Fitted Travel by Brittany Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great travel opportunity!

I've been looking for a baby air mattress but it's so outrageously expensive! My 2 year old has outgrown her backpack and is playing and we travel decently. We don't want her to get used to sleeping in the same bed with us, so we looked at ways she could sleep while we weren't home. I stumbled across this bed and read all the reviews. Some reviewers said the crib tips over when the child sits on one end; I have not experienced this. My child weighs about 33 pounds and did not tip over the crib when sitting on one end. Another reviewer said the crib folded for the baby and had no locking mechanism. While I agree that there is no locking mechanism, at no point did I have any trouble folding the crib. The bed is low to the ground so I wasn't too worried it might fall off. We did notice that the first few nights she would crawl out of her bed to sleep on the floor, but we fixed that by removing some stuffed animals and giving her more space in the crib. I never felt my child was in danger. My 2 year old is about 37 inches tall and she fits perfectly in this crib. We only had space issues because she likes to have too many stuffed animals on the bed! I expect to be able to use this crib until she is 4 years old. Oh, and by the way, my baby still sleeps in the cradle at home and she had no trouble adjusting to sleeping in that cradle or going back to sleeping in the cradle after we got home. It folds down to the size of a high chair and has a carry bag. It's very light and we plan to take it with us on a 3 week trip. We';; Either take it with you as carry-on baggage or put it in your checked baggage. Oh, and there's no "setting". You just take it out of your pocket and open it like a camp chair. This is a great product. I would give this crib 5 stars if the sheet supplied would actually fit the crib. It was too small and therefore the crib folded a lot when I put the sheet on. Instead, I use a cheat sheet (of which I have many). The cot is too big but not where it is a problem or when it comes from the cot. I have attached photos for reference.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
