Revainrating 5 out of 5

er, pretty bad speaker

EDIT: after a week of use this speaker has transformed! Big speakers like guitar amps and big car audio systems need to "burn out" before they sound good like my old Fender amp did. I never thought it would be like this in a small block like this. But after about 10 hours of playback I can crank it to full power without clipping or distortion, and the bass and treble response has flattened out. However, I would advise you to install the EQ app for your phone. Some songs are mixed with more bass than such a small device can handle. Turn the bass down a little to smooth out the sound. went from 2 star to 5 star rating. PS The manufacturer contacted me to send me a new speaker and see if that fixes the problem. I didn't take the offer mainly because I'm busy and just don't want to return it. but I'm glad I didn't. The speaker now works as I hoped it would, so it's not necessary. OLD REVIEW: I have a smaller Aomais Sport II and thought it was a bigger and louder version of it. Unfortunately disappointed with the performance. The Sport has pretty good frequency response for a small speaker. B. deep bass, high treble, there is a good wide range of sounds. This speaker sounds muddy and compensates for too much bass. You can barely hear vocals or a guitar solo because of the blurry, pounding bass. and it shuts down before the volume runs out! starts to distort @8/10 when adjusting the volume. slightly louder than the much smaller Sport. The only real benefit it had over the Sport was longer battery life due to twice the size. Certainly not worth 3 times as much.
