They offer amazing heel and pad support, the integrated pad area is invisible until you put it on. They are thick but flexible enough to be pulled over the padding when exercising. My 12 year old loves them and they are true to size. He said the soles of his feet didn't hurt at all in them. My only complaint is that while they are flexible, they are a bit too small at the top of the calf. This keeps them from rolling down, but they are too tight. There was simply no room for maneuver. Overall they are of excellent quality and very comfortable. If they were a little more forgiving to those with muscular calves they would easily get 5 stars.
