I've been thinking about going into the short circuit and running a wired motion sensor light in 2 closets. I stumbled across this light and decided to try one of these in our office closet. We have a rechargeable LED folding light but wanted to see if it still works when we open the doors. It was the perfect application for this light. The magnets easily stick to the metal shelves in the closet and the motion sensor immediately detects the movement of the door. This is the first picture you see. We liked how the first one worked so we decided to order another one. It was for the closet in the hallway. (second photo) It has high ceilings so the only viable mounting option is to use double sided tape with a magnetic snap. I ended up using 2 mounts as one was left over from another light source. There are magnets at both ends of the lantern. I believe this should come with two magnetic mounts as it is much more secure than using one. I ended up using 2 of these and installing them on the inside of the door frame. You need a motion sensor as far forward as possible. I can highly recommend this lamp. Just make sure you install it with easy access so you can charge it. My only complaint is that it has to come with two magnetic mounts or you have to be able to order a second mount.
