far exceeded my expectations

I put this amazing gadget on my Christmas list and was very happy to receive it. I first saw this item in a Minneapolis store, but the packaging is so good you can't take it out and look at it. However, I added it to my list because I was so curious. I would have bought it right there, but Christmas was just around the corner, so I didn't dare. That and the Natures Head composting toilet were the only items on my list. Let me tell you, it far exceeded my expectations. The blades are sharp. I especially like that when you unplug, you can slide one half of the device up and the other half of the device down to completely separate the entire tool into two pieces. The knife will be half in one hand and the fork will be half in the other hand. I have a fried NY Strip in the oven as I type and am excited to try the two together. So far I have used a spoon, a knife and a vegetable peeler. The peeler cuts thicker than average, so I most likely won't use it to peel potatoes and carrots, but I will use it to slice carrots and potatoes for frying. I suppose it can be used to peel watermelon if it's your jam - I just cut mine off. I'm going to be using a cheese grinder on our potatoes tonight and I'm looking forward to it. Next time I open a can I'll try a can opener but it looks like it'll do the job. It's a wonderful tool and I'm so glad my little shuttle bus I'm converting into an RV has it.
