I find the smell like a "fresh" smelling soap. In my beard it's overeating. The quality of the oil/balm is good. It's smooth, light and free of lumps/particles. Unfortunately, I just can't get over the smell. If you want to imagine a smell, just grab a stack of fabric softener. Take two, roll them up and put one in each nostril. Soak the rest of the stack in detergent for a few minutes. Once you've done that, stick it onto the front of your face. Take a deep breath. Again, I'm deducting a few stars for the smell, which I just can't stand. Quality and functionality are in the product if you want to smell like you've just been washed and dried for hours. I don't like the smell of detergents and I don't want to smell like them at all. This might work for you. That's not for me.
