It's not actually a zipper
I thought they had a zipper mechanism but it's actually just velcro strips with a hole in them. Probably useful in many cases, just not in the way I imagined. OTOH, their durability was excellent: despite being hit repeatedly after noticing they would not close, the zip ties showed no visible damage.
