This little cooler surprised me. I had to turn it away from me because it was too cold and I was afraid I might get sick, it was so cold. It will be very chilly if you put ice on the tray. I leave mine plugged in, but I've used it without it and it worked very well (a few hours) on battery alone. I used it in my home office so it's always connected to my use case. I would say it doesn't last all day on battery but enough for many hours. Very good and surprisingly cool for an office with no alternative. I will be buying another one for my actual office as it also gets a little warm and is great for that purpose.
