I expected it to take longer than 6 days.
Negative: The umbrella was given to my daughter on 12/25. On December 31, the umbrella began to tear at the seams. Of course, she probably opened and closed it at least 100 times during that (non-rainy, totally dry) week because she was having so much fun. There are already a few small holes in the seams and my baby is not completely dry, but she is happy anyway. Pros: My 2 year old can easily open and close it himself without pinching his fingers. The plastic caps at all the usual pointy spots are a pretty decent size and help hold the umbrella more like a preschool umbrella than a gun.
