I've worn the Shadow 6000 women's size 8 (purple trim) since they were introduced in 1990 - now my 27th pair. When I saw the Shadow 6000 being brought back, the size and finish color shown was a bit confusing. The original 6000s were available in men's sizes with a navy blue trim and women's sizes with a purple trim. Information from Revain states that the 6000 is only available in men's sizes with navy and purple trim - there are no women's sizes. I decided to order a pair in the purple version in a size 7. big for me. I ordered a pair in size 6.5 in navy blue trim. It was a true men's size 6.5 and fitted perfectly (men's size 6.5 equals women's size 8). I've run in these shoes a few times and they feel just like the original shoes. The insole is identical; The outsole, midsole and upper are also identical as far as I can tell. If you're a die-hard Shadow 6000 fan, these should suit you. Women should order 1.5 sizes down to get the equivalent women's size.
