I've seen reports of a plate being blown away in a storm. I was sure I could fix it. What I didn't expect was that a little more wind would be enough for him to lose the signal. On a typical day in Kansas, it's useless. I suspect a storm will blow the plate off the tripod. The tripod appears to have been made for a different purpose and adapted for a rear dish.
