Just sits on the tripod. A NOTICE. Nothing to attach your dome to.

Lightweight keeps the canopy off the ground and comes with a handy carry bag. Fits my King Tailgater BUT. If you have a strong wind, this may bother you a little. Three clamps would be great for attaching it to a tripod.

Lightweight, best in Camera & Photo category

Looks and feels like a quality product. I'm not comfortable at all with just mounting the Dish Tailgater antenna on it without attaching it. I'll sleep on it, but I'll most likely have to drill a few holes in the support arms (see pic) and use a small thin screw and wing nut to attach the back door to the tripod.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Legacy

My VQ 4500 fits and works as it should.

Easy installation, light weight and great carrying case. Cardboard boxes don't last that long. I thought the height was adjustable but it doesn't seem to be. The delivery was a day late and the only updates tracked were the carrier's in and out facilities. There were no logistics.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Robust, lightweight antenna stand.

This tripod worked really well after I added three safety straps to attach the antenna to the tripod. Without fortifications, it would be very easy to fall over on windy days. Attachments can be made very simply and easily by the buyer. I didn't want to use screws that required tools to mount the antenna.

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Too Long To Wait

There has to be a way to hold the antenna in place.

This is a beautiful and easy-to-use tri-pod. The King Tailgater Pro fits in nicely but is not secured in any way so high winds can blow it off the Tri-Pod. I drilled a few holes to match the mounting holes in the antenna and used zip ties to secure it. I tried using D clamps but the metal seam kept the antenna from snagging on the satellites.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Hard to say

Attention buyers, the best tripods and monopods

Attention buyers! We bought it in May, took it to the mountains and for 3 months thought it was operator error. Finally, call a satellite technician who will come to the campsite and help us set it up. He found it defective. :( It took me 30 days to return to Revain, called King Company, NOBODY speaks English even if you choose the room for English. Now you are stuck with an expensive thing that costs nothing - where should I go now?

Pros
  • GOLS-certified
Cons
  • Some little things

Because of this, the dish lost signal

I've seen reports of a plate being blown away in a storm. I was sure I could fix it. What I didn't expect was that a little more wind would be enough for him to lose the signal. On a typical day in Kansas, it's useless. I suspect a storm will blow the plate off the tripod. The tripod appears to have been made for a different purpose and adapted for a rear dish. The king must provide a system that will get him far enough to lift the plate off the ground to avoid puddles, runoff and splashes.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Bad workmanship and bad design.

It would be nice to align the stand somehow. Adjustable legs? You need a way to attach the plate to the stand. But what's really bad is that the three folding arms don't hold the pelvis properly. All three arms fold to an open position and are even and flat. This deflection at the ends causes the pelvis to only sit on one long arm and not be able to touch the ends of the other two sagging arms. The bowl can then swing back and forth like a table with unequal legs. In this case, the floor for…
