This is a good, durable outer case. It hasn't rained much in central California this year, but when it did, the jacket performed well. It also protects well from splashes when sailing on the ocean. There are two reasons why it gets 4 stars and not 5. First, it hasn't really been tested in a steady rain over time. Second, the company's CEO sent an email almost immediately after the purchase, waiting for the review too early. I appreciate the contact to the company and get a lot of contacts from different suppliers. The email this CEO sent wasn't personal or very heartfelt, but pushy and focused on fashion rather than functionality. Even after pointing out this faux pas, I would probably buy this jacket again.
