I bought this for my granddaughter (teenager) who is just starting to get interested in makeup and hair. This kit is just perfect for experimenting; There's a good range of colors, lots of neutrals in different hues, and some lovely blues, greens and pinks ranging from pale to quite dark, but nothing too flashy - unless she overdoes it with glitter, i . H. Just a bright red, but it really doesn't look that greasy after application. The staying power doesn't seem to last too long (a plus in my case) and the brushes aren't very impressive, but the makeup seems to be of decent quality, on par with several drugstore and discount brands. Of course, the best part is the case itself. It's so charming and fun to open to see the selection of eye shadow, lip gloss, and powder. When folded it looks like a cute accessory that rests on top of a dresser keeping the contents clean and protected. It actually feels pretty solid and well-made - it's light because it's made of plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. The opening and closing mechanism works smoothly, and it seems like it could be refilled with cream-based products once all the included makeup is gone, or maybe used to store earrings or other small items (yes, I wanted that really only buy). the case). I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest review. Overall I think this set is a lot of fun and would make a great gift for the right person, but the price is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I've seen some pretty substantial makeup kits in the same price range and the appeal factor goes so far, so I think I'd be much more likely to buy this one if the price was about 20-25% off the current one.
