I used to buy low stick Balega socks but they changed them so that the top of the socks are snug on the foot and not as comfortable. I tried these socks and I really liked them in everyday life and when hiking. You sit more comfortably. They were a bit big but I tumble dried them a few times and now they fit perfectly. They seem to be very durable even though I've only had them for a month, but I wear them a lot. They also don't stink too much if you have to wear them for a few days and protect your feet from blisters. They're a little pricey, but in my experience these reinforced wool socks tend to last for many years, so they're a good deal in the long run.
