Haven't had a chance to test this yet but overall the product is great. - Build quality: (aluminum body, thick wire, strong and solid sockets, fixed with 10 screws), great design (small 45 degree socket never blocks other sockets, convenient wall/table mounts on the back and a serious look) Electronics : Im Inside there are two circuit boards, one for indicator lights and one for the main protection elements. The main board contains: - Large motors (9 total) properly sized for the application. - HRC fuse. - Large filter chokes + common mode chokes. Top brands but all at reasonable prices. For example, the capacitor line is branded "Carli" which is an acceptable Chinese brand, and even brands like "Bourns" make most of their products in China, so these guys are doing a pretty good job. On the other hand, I'm not happy that they depict "blue" MOVs (presumably from Bourns) in the schematic image on their product page, but use cheaper Chinese versions in actual products. It's a little deceptive, but come on, I guess the marketers just couldn't resist being mean! The topology of the protection circuit is simple but follows a thoughtful design. The wiring is designed for high power consumption and severe failure conditions. The ground connections are correct and the ground path is very thick. Very solid technology. Judging by the schematic, this is probably overkill for small/medium sized devices, but hey, you can never have enough protection!
