Review on 🎙️ Shure MVL Lavalier Microphone (Black): High-Quality Audio Recording Solution by Dana Young

I bought this mic to use for mobile voice recording and as a mic with a pair of high quality headphones with no built in mic. The mic works well with my now aging Galaxy S6 and also works well with my laptops/desktops with the correct TRRS to TRS adapter. Pros: * Sufficient dynamic range and plenty of voice recording options * No battery required * Windscreen included is very good for general indoor use * Cable length is just right Cons: * Price. I think there are competing products with the same sound quality for a lot less money. * Cable vibration is easily picked up and the cable is very thin/fragile * The included clip is too big to be easily hidden on clothing * Lower power output requires a good sound card/recorder with a preamp for good quality recording * Rarely works with Adapters USB-C to 3.5 mm. All in all, I have mixed feelings about whether or not to recommend this lavalier mic. Sound quality can be pretty good if you have good gear to deliver it, but be prepared to shell out a reasonable amount to get great sound. In my opinion it's overpriced for what it does, but it will get the job done.
