Review on 📞 Uniden DWX337 DECT 6.0 Cordless Waterproof/Rugged Accessory Handset - Ideal for Outdoor Communication & Durability by Lindsey Baker

I bought this phone from Revain for $38.24, received it on August 16, 2013 and started using it in early September 2013. Range, volume and clarity were good but as of 7th November 2013 After about 2 months the phone is broken and not working. When making a call, the beeps persist after dialing and excessive troubleshooting didn't fix the problem - replaced the phone cord, disconnected and reinserted the battery, pressed the power button on the bottom of the phone, unplugged the base, read the manual cover to cover. and checked all functions for errors, tried a different connection and everything works except it doesn't dial out and all my other phones work. This phone never got wet and has been stored in a plastic box with a hole in the bottom for cords on a shelf on the porch and has not been exposed to sun or rain, just a little moisture. Last night I called Uniden and their support team. The message said they were open until 6pm Central Time which is incorrect. I called today at 5pm Central Time and they were closed. According to their website, they close at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Not everything is fine, so we'll see what the rest of this process will entail. I will update this review when possible. But I am already very dissatisfied and will consider another waterproof phone if available. I have a couple of VTech EV2650 2.4Ghz cordless phones that I have been using on my 5 acres since about 2005 and they still work. Uniden was bought to replace a Panasonic KX-TG5422 phone that couldn't stand the humidity on the porch, the base in the house is still working. I wish the integrity of the product wasn't degraded by today's manufacturing practices.
