Heats up very quickly and removes grease with ease. I think there have been some reviews that have mentioned or complained that the dials are hot since they are metal. I was concerned about this at first, but personally I don't think they get incredibly hot within 15-30 minutes. My only feedback on this product is that the dials don't have much resistance, so it's easy to accidentally move it (like rubbing your hand on it [although you'd ask why that happens, but it does]). So I suggest always unplugging it when not in use, even if it is off for your safety and precaution.
