I have to admit that I've repeatedly banged out the window off the four cables and left 40f under temp. this one is the hardest. so far it has not split at the pinch point(s) and is only moderately deformed. the other cords separated on the second or fourth day, this lasts until the ninth day. I use my Pdanet cables and plug the cables into a USB extender by my window. I thread the cable through a very small gap and put the phone outside to improve reception. I don't know if the speed is so far that it would matter for me to use different cables and I've done a lot of tests to find out what improves pdanet's performance. for example location around the house, cable length, operating system (yes indeed, and imac seems to be faster, probably has newer circuitry) and finally the phone. cord anyway. the only thing i can talk about is the charging speed and it's faster than all cables when connected to a usb wall socket adapter and it's the same as other cables when used for pdanet but that's because the maximum loading speed is close to the minimum . it's like five hours for a full charge. however the cable sometimes loses its charge but retains access to the carrier (i.e. i can still pda) and at the same speed. I don't know exactly why this is happening, but it's probably because my USB extender is five feet long and the cable is six feet. The only 10ft line I tried didn't detect (no anchor) so I can only imagine that length isn't good. It doesn't exceed the USB length limit, but should probably shorten it by removing the USB extender and plugging the cable directly into my computer. bad update if i ever have problems or it takes long time.
