Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Godox V1-S Camera Flash Speedlight: Ultimate TTL Round Head for Sony, 76Ws 2.4G, 480 Full Power Shots by Victor Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly for bell-bottoms

I've been using Profoto A1 (Canon) flashes since they first came out. I needed similar flashes for my other gear including Sony and Fuji. This V1S is my second v1, the first was for Canon as I wanted to compare Profoto and Good machines. Their output is indistinguishable. I've been waiting for Sony's round head flash for a long time and bought this when it was released recently. I used it last weekend to capture around 400 images during several Saturday morning activities (mostly outdoors) and found it easy to use (with the Sony A7R3), easy to switch from TTL to manual and excellent for balancing the environment Light and flash in difficult lighting conditions. (dappled sunlight from trees). I haven't had any overheating issues (but I didn't turn on high-speed sync, which is more likely to cause overheating) and the battery seems to last forever. My only gripe is that the Profoto A1 has a much better interface and is even easier to use than the V1, but Profoto costs 3x the price of Godox (for the old A1) and 4x the price (when buying the new Profoto A1x) . I was very satisfied with the Godox V1 and immediately ordered the Fuji version. Highly recommended.
