Review on πŸ“½οΈ Araca BL FU195A BL FU195B BL FU195C HD30B – Economical High Definition Projector Bulbs by Bernard Her

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as bright as the manufacturer claims.

I bought this to replace a 2 year old lightbulb that was giving me warnings. The lamp still worked but I figured I could replace it for the price as it was probably already running out. The first thing I noticed is that the bulb seems to be just as bright as the 2 year old bulb I just replaced. maybe a little brighter, but not noticeable. Also, changing the bulb inside the case isn't as easy as many claim. This isn't Araca's fault of course, it's just something I found along the way and thought it might be helpful to others. The case uses several very small Phillips screws (e.g. eyeglass repair size). One of the screws just wouldn't come out and started tearing off the head. Luckily the bulb is held in place by 4 metal tabs and since I was able to remove the other 3 I was able to somehow unscrew the bulb without removing the 4th. The wires on the power plug are also EXTREMELY fragile, they are very small and use what looks like a car putty knife. I'm used to plugging those super slim Hirose flip lock connectors into laptops so I figured I'd have no problem handling them, but I ended up bending the connectors a bit trying to snap them back into the blade terminals on the to adjust the lamp. but everything was fine, just a bit scary.

Pros
  • 3500 hours lifespan, longer lifespan in ECO mode, 3800 lumens brightness.
Cons
  • Available in black only.
