Review on OtterBox COMMUTER SERIES Case For IPhone 11 Pro - MINT WAY (SURF SPRAY/AQUIFER) by Denise Ward

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay, but not for $40.

To be perfectly clear, this case feels more fragile than any other city case I've bought in the past. Another complaint I have is that it doesn't seem to "lock" the phone like the suburban cases of the previous series. If you drop your phone face down with enough force, I'm sure the phone would literally slide out of the case and your screen would then be at the mercy of the surface, which unfortunately it was able to connect to. It doesn't have anything on the front to somehow hold it in the case, but I think that could also be due to the design of the phone. I'm hoping Otterbox finds a way around this since the 11 Pro is a $1,200 phone. Previous commuter cases typically had a plastic backing that wrapped around the sides and around the phone at each of the four corners for added grip. This case offers only two corners that protect. Namely the bottom two, and I believe that this is a fatal design flaw. Now for the pros; The buttons on the side are very ergonomic and easy to press. The earlier series cases were tricky and difficult to press the buttons when they were relatively new, so we all had to go through a break-in period unless you're the type of person who presses buttons instead of pressing them. Well, this next item is more of a personal preference than anything, but I appreciate the rubberized grip feel for commuters, so I prefer it to any other style of Otter, and this case still has that solid, good grip feel, but I did notice that he seems a little less stubborn . little bit. The time will show. Considering all of that, it's definitely not that bad. I think the price is a bit overpriced for what you get. A much fairer price would have been $25-30 due to the redesigned design and lack of plastic back support.
