CONS* MAJOR CONS: The silicone ring comes into contact with food and I can taste and smell gas. I'm wondering if it's actually food-safe silicone. I originally bought this container thinking I would have a stainless steel or at least non-outgassing silicone interior. This is the most disappointing part and the reason for my low rating. If I didn't care about the material of the container, I'd probably go for any other plastic thermos.* The opening is "wide", but unless you have small hands you still have to use a bottle brush, which is annoying. It's also very difficult to put food in the container without spilling it.* The ridges, especially on the spoon, are a bit difficult to clean, but it's acceptable.* The packaging says it's dishwasher safe. If you look closely at the bottom, the bins say hand wash only. ADVANTAGES * Attention to detail regarding the angle of the spoon and the insides of the container is good. Food does not get stuck.* Although not "hot", the contents do not become "cold" after 5-6 hours of use. I also just put the contents in without preheating. I keep it in an insulated lunch bag (a cheap one that folds and doesn't seal completely).* As far as I can tell, it doesn't leak. I had no problems opening or closing. I forgot how to attach the silicone and there are no assembly instructions.* The foldable spoon is very convenient.* Despite my complaints about the width of the neck, I'd say it's at least big enough. You can see and extract foods without too much trouble. It's a little awkward, but not impossible. *If it wasn't for this gas issue and just food contact with silicone in general I would probably give 4 stars (1 star would still be off due to the mouth size) TO THE DEVELOPER You're so close! If only you could solve your silicone and mouth gap problems, this product would be perfect!
