Review on ZasLuke Intelligent Canceling Microphone 270°Rotation by Bryan Maignan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Grainy, low res, fisheye distortion

😞 Disappointed. The camera has excellent tracking and a nice tripod. That's the good part. Unfortunately, the rest is rubbish. If they just put rubber feet on a tripod and gave it a telescoping head, it would be a "functional" tripod. If they gave the camera a manual zoom (not to be confused with zoom) it would be a decent low budget webcam. Instead it has an extreme wide-angle lens with horrible fisheye distortion and a tripod that slides and is only about 6 inches tall. Camera tracking is completely unknown in this price range. If they would add just a little more to the quality of the camera, they could steal the show with this camera. Unfortunately, they fall short when it comes to field of view (ultra-wide fixed rather than adjustable) and image quality. The super-grain image says 2 megapixels, but that's a lie. My laptops built in 720p (1MP) have a resolution about 3 times higher than Zas Luke's webcam resolution. For web meetings where you need to give instructions using a whiteboard, this camera is useless. The resolution is too low to see drawings and written text clearly, and the fisheye effect distorts them beyond recognition. Returned the goods and refunded the money. I had high hopes but low expectations. Unfortunately, neither one nor the other was hit.
