I love this machine! I've been using it for a few months and now that I've gotten used to it, it's very easy to use, clean and carry around. Highly recommended. Several reviewers noted that a lot of detergent is used. I've found that rinsing the entire floor with plain hot water before even adding any detergent really helps. Maybe my floors are exceptionally dirty, but I can't believe how much dirt I've washed out with plain water! But here's the best part. By using clear water first, you have created a damp carpet. When wiping again with the cleaning solution, the wet fibers naturally become 'thirsty', drawing the cleaning agent deep into the carpet where you really need it. Using the same principle, the watercolor painter absorbs excess paint with a slightly damp "thirsty brush". It works! I used this method to remove much deeper dirt while saving soap.
