The workmanship is very good and it was easy to open and close again. I caution those who have never dealt with "cream" - you will NOT get a small, soft "ash" like that left after a fire in a chimney. It's more like a bag of ground stones, and many of them will be too big to fit in such a piece of jewelry. I had to sort and sift quite a lot to find pieces small enough to fit through the hopper. So if you are squeamish about such things, you can enlist someone else's help.
