Review on 📀 Toshiba D-R400 DVD Recorder with 1080p Upconversion and DivX Certification - No Tuner by Luis Estrella

I use this product to record my DVR and create DVDs of my computer video programs. I haven't used it to play on an HDTV as I don't have one yet. But I bought it for this purpose after reading reviews about its use with HD networks. I will be buying a 1080 HD set later this year but won't be too disappointed with the quality of the reproducible conversion as I know its limitations from other reviews. The recording site is easy to use and works great to my satisfaction as other reviewers have noted. The two highest recording speeds provide the best video quality, just like the older multi-speed VHS formats. Two hour speed can be used with older DVD players, but I use four hour speed to save most of my work with excellent video quality. The video recording speed of six and eight hours seems too grainy to me. The manual is fine, but some of the recording features need further explanation. I like the access to the front panel input for connecting to a computer with standard video or S-Video. The remote control works fine for my use. Overall, this product is great for many features and price with upconverting capabilities. I think in a year someone will have an HD recorder.
