I've tried alcohol and mineral oil based eye makeup removers but over time my eyes became red and sensitive to them. I really love it because it works. Yes, there's an occasional sting if you use too much and get "too greasy" cotton, but it rinses off instantly without residue. The feeling is not enough to stop using because I will never use anything again because it's so great to have an all natural remover that works so well. Definitely to be recommended again and again!
