Good radio, many problems.

It's time for a more rigorous review of this radio. This radio is really good in some aspects, the size is perfect to keep or store in a small place. The internal battery is amazing, no need to buy batteries, especially useful in an emergency. A flashlight is very handy and a reading light is perfect because you can change the brightness and warmth. The sound quality is okay, but definitely loud enough. NOAA is so helpful and very understandable. General FM reception is very good. It's good to have an alarm clock. Waterproof enough to withstand splashing water or stay out in the rain for a while. This radio has its drawbacks: The alarm is very easy to activate. I've accidentally turned it on a couple of times and got scared each time as it's just a toggle. The handle and solar panel charge the internal battery. So slow. After keeping the solar panel out all day, it barely charged, if at all. Hand slinging is not for me. Is it 100% better than nothing in an emergency, general use? Charge it up or use three "A" batteries. am i a radio Forget it. I only have reception at one station. I tried many different places and only had one music channel. You might be luckier than me, but I'm afraid the radio doesn't work very well with this radio, but that's not a determining factor for me. This tentrop emergency radio isn't perfect, but it's an option to consider. Just keep my review in mind if you're looking for others.
