My 13 year old is about 4ft 10" and weighs 86 pounds. I bought a size 14-16 based on other reviews to increase the size. In fact, they are a few inches longer and oversized at the waist. although I would like to exchange them. teenagers. My 8 year old is 4ft 2in and weighs 53lbs. I bought her 8-9 or whatever and they were TOO BIG. I ordered the next size smaller and they are still too big but she was happy with them because at least they didn't fall off and she said she would grow into them to wear them longer. She's happy about it because she loves the pants! They are sturdy, with pockets and drawstrings, and the colors/patterns match the photos. Hey, they seem comfortable and have survived at least 2 washes with no wear.
