I have a gold doodle that barked all the time, people walked by just barked in the air. I checked out the setup video which didn't take long. My pup had no side effects from the citronella spray. When it turns off, it kind of pops out and immediately shuts up. I started using it by watching her from afar in the yard and making her squirt when she barked. First I would alert them with a beep, then with a spray, that's a fine spray and a coarse spray. You have to work with the dog, but it really works in no time. This collar was recommended to me by my niece, who is a veterinarian. I'm happy. My puppy is happy, I am happy with her. It also came with a dog whistle which I taught her to come when I blew the whistle to reward her with a piece of cheese. She rarely came when I called her from the backyard when she was having fun. Now it comes whenever I use the whistle. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a puppy that likes to bark and won't come around when called. It also lasts all week on a single charge if you turn it off when the dog comes in and turn it back on when he leaves.
