This is NO PEAR SOAP. It's written on the box. Soap "Pear" consists of 8 ingredients. This new soap has 27 ingredients. I don't know when Pears was bought by Unilever. but in 2009, the place it was made, the method it was made with, and the ingredients used to make it have ALL CHANGED. This soap is terrible. I'm so sad. I've been using pear soap since I was 16 years old. I'm 65 now. I bought a box of 80 bars about 20 years ago. Thank God! THE PEAR SOAP HAS GONE. FOR USE. NOTHING FROM A BIG COMPANY WILL REPLACE THIS SOAP. Unfortunately they have the recipe! You could do it. The pear soap took months to harden, shrinking in the process leaving telltale little cracks in the soap. put the shit in my face. I am very sad about that. I still have a few bars from a box I bought on a trip to New York 20 years ago. I think it's like this world and progress. made at home, by hand, slowly. We give up life for progress.
