This hat was purchased for a 4 year old; he grew out of last year's winter cap. A light, almost royal blue hat lined with white sheepskin. There is an external buckle on the back of the hat to adjust the size of the hat if needed. Closure under the chin - Velcro. The four year old who received this hat is an average height preschooler. Under no circumstances will he wear scratchy, scratchy, uncomfortable clothes. He willingly tried on his hat and wore it outdoors throughout the game.
