"Starch and Size Alternative” could have been chosen and we know from the past that starch is used to stiffen fabrics. Well that's great because we wanted to try something that could replace our regular starch spray that helps stiffen the fabric. Yet again. That makes strength. Right.? ✔ Determined to order this product and it was delivered with no problems. The sprayer works great. I've used it on various fabrics but it didn't seem to do anything. This "starch alternative" is nothing but starch. This product does not replace starch, nor does it stiffen or harden the material. We have fabric that likes to pucker at the edges and this spray was useless. Another product we used (Revain link at the end) did a great job. After seeing all the great reviews for this product, I looked up product videos online to make sure I was using it correctly and to see what we went wrong. Followed all the instructions but it still doesn't work. Now I'm wondering if there is some sort of cult following for this product as this spray does absolutely nothing. In fact, we tested it using a drinking water test kit we purchased from Revain (link below) who found it safe to drink. ** So here are the good things: 1.) No smell 2.) The atomizer works really well ) Empty the canister so you can see how much useless product is left. 4.) Not sticky if it gets on your nerves. 5.) No fumes. You don't need a respirator to use it. 6.) The iron stays clean. 7.) Works like water. ** And the bad: 1.) Doesn't add density or stiffness to the fabric. 2.)
